My manifesto
What I do now
I spent years inside classrooms watching one-size-fits-all systems dim kids’ curiosity. So I did what many parents and educators are doing across the country: I built something different. I founded The Learning Outpost, launched the Founder 2 Founder podcast to amplify Black and Brown microschool leaders, and began working alongside policy voices to make sure families actually have choices that fit their kids.
I am an educator and founder driven by one mission: make small, community-rooted schools the norm—not the exception. Families deserve choices that truly fit their children, not industrial models built for scale. Through building a microschool, amplifying other founders, and engaging with policy leaders, I’m pushing for a future where every child has access to learning that sparks curiosity, confidence, and growth.

Small > big. Relationships beat bureaucracy.
Family partnership isn’t optional. Parents are co-designers, not spectators.
Hands-on learning wins. Kitchens, gardens, and neighborhoods are classrooms.
Equity means proximity. The people closest to the problem must shape the solution.
Policy should follow people. Funding and rules should enable what already works.
